From deep blacks, nostalgic grays to brilliant whites the genre relies on form, lines, and shape to tell the story. As shades of gray continue to inspire photographic artists, we honor the art of black and white in this group exhibition.

GREYSCALE – INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION

http://www.mwcponline.com/greyscale.html

November, 2022

From subtle low contrast to high key contrast in the range of values of a black and white photograph the Greyscale exhibition represents photographs of a variety of different light and subject matter. When a classic black and white photograph is crafted well the grey tones are so stunningly rich that a viewer wouldn’t only not miss the color but revel in the absence of color. From traditional film and darkroom photography to the digital imaging medium we have found those outstanding monochromatic greyscale photographs in this exhibition representing the mood, drama and silence captured through the black and white medium of photography.
